I'm Dr Dan Epstein, a GP at Vermont Medical Clinic on Burwood Highway. Whether it's a newborn check, a niggling worry or the health goal you keep putting off, my job is to listen properly and work it out with you.

Getting to know you is the job.
General practice is medicine's long game. The real work is knowing you, your history and your family, so that advice fits your life and small problems stay small.
I trained at Monash University and am a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. In 2018 I was named Australian Registrar GP of the Year, and in 2022 I completed a PhD in public health at Monash, which is a formal way of saying I care a great deal about stopping problems before they start.
I consult at Vermont Medical Clinic in Vermont South. New patients and families are always welcome.

- From newborn checks and immunisations to the coughs, rashes and worries in between. Bring the whole family in one visit if that's easier.

- Practical, judgement-free support: habits, sleep, medication options and steady follow-up, with a plan you can actually live with.
- Chronic disease management
- Structured care for diabetes, heart disease, asthma and other long-term conditions, including GP Management Plans and regular reviews so nothing drifts.
- Preventive care & skin checks
- Health assessments, age-appropriate screening and skin checks. Finding small things early is the least glamorous, most valuable work in medicine.
